@ Ren, what your government has been doing, I do not know much and thus am in no position to criticize. I believe that there are many men and women in your country and around the world who are doing what the man in the short film is doing; picking up food and serving them to the hungry children that they know. And I believe that there are organisations that are giving away the food that they do not manage to sell for the day. It may be easier if a collective action be initiated from the government but until then, we can do whatever that is within our means. Do not feel bad by not being able to help much, lets start in whatever small ways we can.

so this is what Charter Change is all about, senate so busy with dealings on Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho, Congress so busy with implementation of charter change….the root has became a tree, and the tree bears its fruit already….are we allowing this to happen in our very own country Pilipinas???? why???I can’t do it myself I have my personal problems as well, but the bigger problems should this so-called government must focus and pay attention ohhh sorry our government is so busy filling up their own pockets.

@ Earth, when I watched this short film, I have mixed feelings. One part of me feels for the children who have to go through hunger and the possibility of not knowing if where their next meal will come from. And yet at the same time I feel warmth and inspired by what the man did in the short film; bringing the left-overs to the children. The smiles on their faces are simply priceless. No words can describe the happiness.

@ Gabriele, it is a shame indeed that most left-overs from restaurants are collected by trash companies. These food would have been good meals to those who are starving. As in the short film, although the food distributed to the children were all left-overs, they were still so happy when eating. I guess most wouldn’t know how it would feel to go hungry for days without food. It is hard to blame them since they do not have the awareness. And since most of these hungry people are so far away from them that they feel indifferent towards them.

It’s a shame that most left-overs from restaurants are collected by trash companies. There is no chance to save anything for the needy. Hotels find it to time consuming to have theirs picked up by any private company which would work out more expensive, too.
With petrol prices nowadays, there is little incentive for any charity organization to collect the foods which could feed the hungry.
